Blaster Communications Inc. ("BCI") is a technology provider whose emergency-safety apps — N.I.I.C., S.E.A.N., and D.E.A.N. — are used by schools and public-safety agencies. BCI sends operational and emergency SMS text alerts on behalf of those organizations to their staff, designated family/emergency contacts, and partner-hospital personnel.
How consent is obtained: Consent is collected in person at enrollment or registration, by the school or agency, before any mobile number is entered into the app. Each individual gives their own written consent using the authorization form below. The organization keeps the signed forms on file; after consent is captured, an administrator enters the already-consented number into the app and confirms consent was collected. Consent is voluntary, is not a condition of enrollment or any purchase, and is never bought, sold, shared, or transferred from any third party.
This is the exact form each recipient signs at enrollment to opt in. Schools/agencies: print, have the person complete and sign it, and retain it on file.
